The short version
No analytics, no advertising trackers, and no visitor accounts. If you email us, we have your email. That's about it.
What we collect
- Server logs. Our host, AWS Amplify, keeps standard access logs: IP address, browser user agent, and pages requested. We use them to keep the site running, nothing else.
- Email. If you write to contact@maretha.io, we receive what you send and keep the thread in our mailbox so we can reply. The contact form does the same thing: it hands your note to Amazon SES, our email provider, which delivers it to that mailbox. We store nothing on the site itself.
- Job applications. The careers form emails us your name, your address, your answers, and the files you attach, along the same path. Applications live in our mailbox and nowhere else, and we keep them only while the role is open unless you tell us we can hold on to yours.
- Post images. Cover images on Insights are served from Firebase Storage on Google Cloud, which sees those requests the way any image host does.
What we don't do
- No analytics or advertising scripts, first or third party.
- No cookies on the public site.
- No selling or sharing of your information.
The admin area
Our team signs in with Google, through Firebase Authentication, to publish Insights posts. That sign-in exists for us, not for visitors.
